Orphaned and abandoned children learn very young that they do not have many opportunities in their futures. Orphans that do not have education opportunities, for the most part, become hookers or thugs. By giving them the opportunity of education, you are giving them a chance at life! $30 a month is all that it takes to support an orphan to attend college in their own country. Focus on Children serves on a supervisory board for the education of orphans in the Russian Far East. We also,have requests from many other countries for scholarships for orphans. Focus on Children will also teach these young orphans to "give back" by requiring those in the scholarship program to mentor those younger orphans. |
